woo wee!

I guess its been a while, hasnt it?

we had a lovely 4th of july.  We went up to a friends cabin for some long needed R+R, laying on the dock in the sun..being carted around the lake in a row boat by our husbands..sitting by the campfire..some pictures for your enjoyment:

Little Oz wanted to come so bad! Sorry bud..to grammie and grampies you go!

A must stop photo op in Mille Lacs..

John rowing Charlie around the lake..awwww!

Eatin..

I was on weenie roastin dootie:

Suzie and I on the dock, clearly lounging in style..

A nice little life vest that I got to wear on the boat, perfect fit!

Reading Twilight: Eclipse of COURSE…

The view of the cute little cabin from the dock

Charlie and I on the dock with a creepy shirtless man in the background…(john ;)

A lady of the sea, clearly..

Charlie and John rowing us around the lake like good little husbands..

I took a stab at it..and I think my face says that I’m not really into manual labor..

On our way home..

Now we’ve done some new things around the house..I decided that since I don’t start work until later on the in the day, each morning I’m going to tackle a different project. SO last week, I worked on organizing under the sink and in the miscellaneous kitchen gadget drawer.

Under the sink, before:

Much better. And the drawer:

Ahh much better, and now the drawer closes with ease!  I also finally got around to putting some protective rubbery stuff along the cupboard shelves..

More polished looking, I think.

What else..Charlie and I had a busy weekend cleaning up all the spiders in our house, which desperately needed to get done. A couple of weeks ago, as we were laying in bed getting ready to turn out the lights, I spotted a small dot on the ceiling. “Charlie. Charlie..Charlie what is that?! Is that a spider?!” But it was so small..it couldnt be.

Until Charlie got up there to kill it, and said it was indeed a spider..a baby spider. Meaning…just hatched..baby spider. Then he looked around a bit more..and there was another..and another..and another..26 total baby spiders crawling on our ceiling to be exact. Talk about disgusting. The rest of the night I had that creepy crawly feeling because OBviously a mama spider had a gross little nest somewhere..and we had no idea where. So gross. So on Saturday we decided it was time to tackle the spider situation. Had we known, we should have  used one of those “fogger” spider killers in the basement before we even moved in. *will remember next time* because that would have taken care of those nasty things. darn.

Anyway, so Charlie took the shopvac and we vaccuumed every nook and crannie in the basement..laundry room, bathroom downstairs, rec room, furnace room…everything. Window wells, baseboards..and I followed Charlie armed with my spider killer spray. I really hope we got most of them down there. Now we just have to find the nest thats *hopefully* not in our bedroom closet…………………….eeeeeeek!

Onto the backyard where even more bugs call it their home, we got busy at cutting down some trees that are long our fence. I’m sure these trees just popped up on their own because I don’t know who in their right mind would plant trees practically on the fence and have them grow into the power lines. Anyway, we got on that yesterday:

And while we were busy cuttin down trees, Ozzy was quite excited to get a whole slew of new sticks to play with!

And then he did some lounging, which he loves to do:

He looks annoyed at my incessant picture taking..but he loves it :)

Spiders … almost as bad as the ‘flea infestation’ of Spring 2010, Sioux Falls – SD!!! I love Ozzy in the pool … we were thinking of buying Gunner one .. but now I’m not sure if he’d fit in it!
