BUT. another! Addie is now..a mobile babe.

This weekend our little fam spent some time relaxing together. We played outside in the backyard and watched the boys chase the tennis ball, went to Addie’s first Twins game (out of utero ; ), went to coffee with GiGi, and Charlie and Addie schemed and brought me and the pups on a picnic at Lebanon Regional Park..a favorite spot seen here and here.

My little Adilene Olivia turned 9 months old last week. My quiet, sleepy babe has turned into a babbling, clapping, squealing, giggling little girl. We brought her to the doctor this week to rule out an ear infection and did a quick weigh while we were there—Adilene is a whopping 17 pounds, 14 ounces. The pediatrician also told us that our little babe was “emotionally advanced.” Its no surprise to us, though. This peanut has a big ol’ heart.

And, no infection. Just more teeth! Count ‘em—Addie now has 4, with two more trying to make their way through next to her top teeth. Hopefully she catches a break, soon!

Adilene is a mover and a shaker; she’s constantly grabbing, rolling, squirming. This girl does not like to be held down and is pulling herself up on things. She’s up on her knees, rocking and pushing herself backwards but no crawling just yet.

Addie’s favorite food is….chicken. Or pork. Or beef. Or turkey. She loves curry and lentils over brown rice, baked beans, carnitas, mashed potatoes and gravy, ice cream, frozen strawberries, cookie pieces, crackers, freeze dried yogurt drops, water from a straw cup. Addie is still feeding herself, and we’re loving that we can give her anything off our plate, and she always finds something she likes.

Addie loves her brothers—we even managed to get video of her playing with the pups and one of their toys. If they’re nearby (99.9 % of the time ; ) she’s pulling herself closer; and they love dinner time around here.

Addie is mostly sleeping through the night—she’s stayed consistent with napping around 8, up for a bit around 10 watching mama and dada getting ready to turn in, nursing, then turning towards papa to snooze. Yep, we’re a (safely) co-sleepin’, (safely) bed-sharin’ family for now, and I wouldn’t trade my night long snuggles for anything.

Our sweet little chitlin is 9 months. I can’t believe where we were almost a year ago. I couldn’t have even conceived what life would be like at this moment; but were loving it.
